Plant Bio

Philodendron Ring of Fire

Though it goes by a lot of names (you might see it also sold as Philodendron Ring of Fire Variegated, Philodendron Variegated Narrow Tiger, or Philodendron Variegated Jungle Boogie), Ring of Fire is a beautiful, easy-care variegated plant for your collection.  We believe it’s a mutation of the variety Henderson’s Pride.

Philodendron Ring of Fire grows best (and shows best coloration) in medium to bright light. It will do best if placed within 3 to 4 feet of a large, unobstructed east- or west-facing window. You can supplement – or grow it entirely – under plant lights if you don’t have adequate window space. Water as the top half or so of the potting mix dries to the touch. Provide average household temperatures and average to above-average relative humidity levels.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.
